Register for Professional Development

NDEO offers several types of Professional Development opportunities for dance teachers. Make sure you are logged into your NDEO Member account so you are eligible for the discounted member-rates.

Multiple Professional Development Options

  • National Conference - 3 to 4 day professional development conference, location & broad theme varies year to year.
  • Special Topic Conferences - 1 to 2 days in-person with a focused topic or theme
  • OPDI Courses - online courses for dance educators that run either 4, 6, 8 or 12 weeks across 3 semesters a year (Spring, Summer, Fall) - member and non-members welcome
  • Webinars - virtual 1-hour live presentations that are free to members and non-members - all are recorded and available for later viewing
  • Special Interest & Affinity Group Meetings - virtual 1-hour sessions (members-only) over zoom where members can talk about a particular subject or sector - free but requires registration
  • Virtual Summits - virtual 1 day event over zoom featuring multiple 1-hour sessions - there is a registration fee but it is open to members and non-members.
