NHSDA Voices: Exploring College Dance Pathways is a series of virtual panel discussions featuring Collegiate NHSDA chapter members who share their experiences studying dance and dance education at their university or college. In this first series of five videos, NHSDA Voices aims to empower our Junior and Secondary members by providing invaluable insights into dance in higher education.

  1. What specific areas of dance do you focus on in your college program, and why did you choose this specialization?
  2. What is a typical day or week like for you in your program?
  3. Can you share a memorable performance or project you have had during college and how it has influenced your growth?
  4. What kind of resources does your program provide that you find most supportive? This can include mentorship, networking opportunities, access to studio space, choreographic opportunities, etc.
  5. Can you share how being a part of NHSDA has contributed to your college experience?
  6. What advice do you have for younger students who are considering pursuing a dance degree in college in terms of preparation and choosing a focus in college?
